LAHORE, Oct 31: The Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP) will hold a protest rally in front of the Lahore Press Club on Friday (Nov 3) against delay in cane crushing, says a press release of the board.

Following the rally at Lahore, the board plans to hold rallies at district headquarters throughout the country.

According to KBP president Sadiq Khan Khaqwani, the board will fight against exploitation by millers with all its resources.

He said millers were bent upon financially exploiting farmers. The delay in cane crushing would financially hurt the farmers and the country.

It would also delay wheat sowing and create food pressure on national economy. In these circumstances, the farmers had no other option except to resort to street agitation, he said.
