Taluka nazim, two others sent to jail on remand

DADU, Oct 31: The tluka nazim of Dadu and two other accused were sent to the Hyderabad central jail on a three-day remand here on Tuesday. Hyderabad crime branch police inspector Sardar Mengal produced Nazim Lund, Sharif Lund and Mohammad Siddique Mallah in the court of judicial magistrate of Dadu for remand.

The court ordered to send the accused to the district jail of Dadu for three days. Jail superintendent Ashiq Ali Bozdar in a written statement informed the court that he was complainant in the murder case of constable Gul Mohammad Jatoi, hence these accused should be shifted to some other jail.

Meanwhile, the lawyer representing Taluka Nazim Naban Lund lodged an application in the court of sessions judge of Dadu and requested him that Naban Lund and other accused should be shifted to other jail of Sindh because they might be killed in the district jail.

The district and sessions judge of Dadu sent Dadu Taluka Nazim Naban Lund and two others to the central jail of Hyderabad.

INSECT ATTACK: The affected growers of Dadu taluka, including Nazeer Birhamani, Abdul Aleem Panhwar, Ayaz Qureshi, Ghulam Hyder Jatoi, Shahnawaz Birhamani, Mohammad Paryal Birhamani, Anwar Arain, Mohammad Ali Mangnejo and Subhan Mangnejo, on Tuesday complained that cotton crops standing over 10,000 acres of land were affected due to attack of American Sundi, Lashkari Sundi, white fly and other insects.
