Japanese envoy meets minister


ISLAMABAD, Oct 31: Japanese Ambassador Seiji Kojima on Tuesday called on Federal Minister for Population Welfare Ch. Shahbaz Hussain and discussed matters of mutual interest especially in the perspective of ever-increasing population and preventive measures taken by the Pakistan. The minister briefed the ambassador about the awareness and advocacy programme initiated by the ministry at various levels by involving different sections of the society.

He also highlighted welfare objectives of the population ministry like facilities for reproductive health awareness on child and mother health, education and financial empowerment of the women and motivational campaign on male and female levels as well.—Our Reporter
