KARACHI, Oct 31: The Sindh government has repaid a Cash Development Loan amounting to Rs2 billion (approximately) to the federal government which will result in the saving of Rs293.689 million per year.
According to a statement issued here on Tuesday, the amount was borrowed by the province during 1982-86 at 15 per cent annual return.
It said that with the efforts of Sindh Finance Adviser M.A. Jalil and revenue earned through programmes initiated with the cooperation of Asian Development Bank the repayment of debts had been accelerated with an aim to lessen the burden of the provincial government.
