BAHAWALPUR, Oct 30: Two more dengue `patients’ were admitted to Bahawal Victoria Hospital here on Monday.

Reports said Muhammad Waseem of Kot Noorwala village, Jhangiwala Road and Sabir Husain of Kotla Musa Khan near Ahmedpur East, were brought to the hospital.

A source told this correspondent on Monday that their blood samples had been sent to Agha Khan Laboratory, Karachi for test and the required treatment would be given to them after the report.

Earlier, Daanish of Gulpur locality, Ahmedpur East, had been brought to the hospital. His test report by Agha Khan Laboratory had confirmed dengue fever. After preliminary treatment, the hospital officials had recommended his shifting to Karachi.

Meanwhile, the authorities concerned have not taken any measures to provide diagnostic kits or set up a lab for dengue fever tests in local hospitals.
