Two killed near Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD, Oct 30: Two people were killed in different incidents in Sherwan village on Monday. One Imtiaz was killed allegedly by Gul Shezad, Khanzada and Waqar, according to an FIR lodged by the victim’s mother with the Sherwan police station. The motive behind the killing was stated to be enmity.

One Mohammad Saeed was allegedly killed by Qadeer in the Sherwan bazaar.

POTATO VIRUS: Potato crop in Mansehra and other areas of Hazara has been hit by an unknown virus, adversly affecting the crop in vast areas, causing heavy financial losses to growers.

Potato is grown over 30,000 acres in this area and is considered the main produce of Hazara, especially of its quake-hit regions.

According to an estimate, 45 per cent of the crop has been damaged by the virus, sources said.
