KARACHI, Oct 30: Over hundred handicapped children had fun for over a couple of hours at an Eid Milan function organized by Jimmy Engineer at an elite city club on Monday.

Special artist children from the Ida Rieu School and College for the Deaf and Blind sang songs and recited Na’ats and enthralled their fellow colleagues with their performances. A group of special children from the Scinosa presented tableaux to entertain their colleagues.

Jimmy Engineer, Homi Khambatta, Naseem Gandhi and others said that with more interaction, the normal children would also not tease the special children and the shyness of the special children would go away and they would feel more confident in their day-to-day life.

They said in the western countries the governments provide many facilities to the handicapped people, but here they are not even given their due rights. They demanded that more opportunities and facilities be provided to the handicapped people.

Children from the Ida Rieu School and College for the Deaf and Blind, Darul Sukoon, Ma Ayesha, Hope and Faith, Madular, Scinosa, participated in the Eid Milan function.
