KARACHI: 38 vehicles, 75 phones taken away

KARACHI, Oct 29: At least 38 vehicles and 75 mobiles were taken away by bandits in different parts of the city on Sunday.

Police sources said that five cars were snatched at gunpoint and eight were reported stolen.

Similarly, eight motorcycles were snatched at gunpoint by bandits and 17 motorcycles were reported stolen on the day.

Police sources said that 21 cellphones were snatched and as many as 49 mobile phones were reported stolen while five cellphones were reported missing on Sunday.

KILLED: A private security guard was found strangled inside a bank branch in the Bin Qasim area on Sunday morning.

Police said that the body of Munir Ahmed, 23, was found strangulated and trussed up inside the UBL’s Port Qasim branch. The body was shifted to Jinnah hospital for postmortem.

Police said cash was not found missing from the bank.
