QUETTA, Oct 27: Leaders of the Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) have accused military rulers of interference in the affairs of Afghanistan to destabilise that country and demanded that such interference should be stopped immediately.
They stated this while speaking at public meetings held in Zhob, Loralai, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah and Harnai on Eid. Senator Abdul Rahim Mandokhel, Senator Raza Mohammad Raza, MPA Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Abdul Qahar Wadan and Usman Kakar were the main speakers at the public meetings. They alleged that Taliban groups making suicide attacks in Afghanistan enjoyed support of Pakistani military rulers and intelligence agencies who had trained them. They said the Afghans should get united and foil conspiracies against their country which were “being hatched in other countries including Pakistan”. They claimed that in 70s the royalty of the NWFP in net hydel income was Rs500 billions but present provincial government settled the issue for Rs110 billion only.
They said that PMAP was struggling for the rights of Pashtoons and supported struggle of other nationalities for their rights. They said that without recognising rights of nationalities, federation could not be strengthened.
