KARACHI, Oct 27: Admission process for masters programme in science and arts of Karachi University (KU) for the session 2007 will start from Oct 30.
A KU notification said that admission forms for various departments like Arabic, Bengali, Economics, Education, English, General History, International Relations, Islamic History, Library and Information Sciences, Mass Communication, Pakistan Studies, Persian, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sindhi, Sociology, Social Work, Special Education, Urdu, Applied Chemistry, Bio-chemistry, Genetics, Geography, Geology, Health and Physical Education, Mathematics, Botany, Micro-biology, Petroleum Technology, Physics, Physiology, Statistics, Zoology, Islamic Learning, Usooluddin and Quran-o-Sunnah can be obtained and submitted in authorized branches of UBL on payment of Rs300 between Oct 30 and Nov 8.
The admission list will be on display on Nov 30 at the Silver Jubilee Gate at 3pm. Regular classes will commence on Jan 6.
Admission to Actuarial Sciences and Risk Management, Applied Physics, Biotechnology, Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Studies, Public Administration, Women Studies and Visual Studies will commence separately.
Meanwhile, a KU notification said that admission forms for PGD and MCD could be collected from UBL branch located at Silver Jubilee Gate till Oct 31, while forms for BS (CS and SC) can be obtained between Nov 1 and 7. Forms can be submitted at the department of computer sciences within the above mentioned dates.—PPI
