Political parties felicitate nation on Eidul Fitr

ISLAMABAD, Oct 24: Leaders of various political parties have felicitated the nation on the joyous occasion of Eidul Fitr. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Benazir Bhutto has greeted the Muslim Ummah in general and Pakistanis in particular on Eid.

In a message released by PPP media cell here on Monday, she said: “On this day let us redouble our efforts to alleviate the sufferings of not only the victims of the most terrible natural disaster in the history of Pakistan but also of those who are destitute and needy.”

PTI: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has greeted the Muslims of the world in general and Pakistanis in particular on Eidul Fitr.

He said after Ramazan it was a big joyous occasion for the Muslims and we should celebrate it in the true spirit of Islam. However, at the same time we must not forget those who are poor, sick, orphans and everyone who can not live life comfortably.

Imran Khan also stressed upon the government to take such measures which could alleviate the sufferings of the poor.

APMA: Religious minorities have extended cordial greetings to their Muslim brethren on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.

All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Chairman Shahbaz Bhatti, in his message, said: “I on behalf of all religious minorities wish to extend cordial greetings to all Muslim brethren celebrating Eidul Fitr.”

Eid remind us of noble human feelings to share the festivities with the poor, underprivileged, downtrodden, orphans, the neglected and the cast off beside embracing people from all walks of life, he said.

Mr Bhatti said Eid was also a time to realise the urgency of fraternal bounding and concept of interfaith harmony.

“By working together to advance peace and mutual understanding, I ask everyone to remember the millions of men and women around the globe, who are persecuted for their beliefs and forced to suffer for their faith,” he said.

TNFJ: Tehrik Nifaz Fiqah-i-Jafaria (TNFJ) chief Agha Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, in his message, said today we were observing Eidul Fitr at a time when people in Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Lebanon were facing atrocities and the oppressed nations and the Islamic world had become the target of evil forces.
