KARACHI, Oct 23: An international multi-disciplinary conference would be held at the University of Karachi campus on Nov 3. This was announced by a KU spokesman in a statement here. The moot is titled, ‘Qualitative research in developing countries: opportunities and challenges’.
It is being organised by the faculty of Arts, University of Karachi, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The KU vice-chancellor, Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, will be the chief guest at the inaugural session. The dean of KU’s faculty of Arts, and convener of the conference, Prof Dr Mohammad Shamsuddin, will present the welcome address.
The coordinator of the moot, Prof Dr Fouzia Shamim, will apprise the audience of the aims and objectives of the conference.
The keynote address will be presented by Prof Dr Adrian Holiday of Christchurch University, Britain. The KU vice-chancellor will present the presidential address at the conference.
The pro-vice-chancellor, Prof. Dr. Akhlaq Ahmed, and Dr Tanveer Khalid will also speak on the occasion.—APP
