MHCC claim Danish Trophy

KARACHI, Oct 21: Mohammad Hussain CC clinched the 10th Danish Trophy Ramazan cricket tournament after defeating Tapal CC by 13 runs in the final at the KPI Ground on Saturday.

Batting first, MHCC scored 133 for eight in their 20 overs with Sajid Ali (33) and Rashid Ali (28) the chief run-getters.

Tapal CC, in reply, were dismissed for 120 with leg-spinner Fawwad Munir claiming three for 19. Off-spinners Agha Sabir (2-11) and Wajihuddin (2-22) provided excellent support.

Veteran Mahmood Hamid was the top-scorer for Tapal CC with 38.

Fawwad was adjudged Man-of-the-Final while MHCC’s Mohammad Rizwan bagged the best batsman award and Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria, who played for KPI, took the best bowler prize.
