MQM urges more autonomy to provinces

By Qurban Ali Khushik

DADU, Oct 21: Chief of MQM Altaf Hussain has demanded more autonomy for provinces and equal rights for all citizens of Pakistan and called for eradicating the old feudal political system and the culture of corruption so that the poor people could get relief.

He was addressing a gathering of MQM activists, farmers and people of different tribes of Dadu district at the Allah I.I. Qazi Town Hall here on Saturday.

Mr Hussain said that nationalist leaders and the waderas were not sincere with the people, adding that they were not struggling for the people’s basic rights.

He accused the PPP and nationalist parties of always using the Sindh card and promoting their personal agendas and said it was a tragedy. He said that politicians getting Sindhi votes had never really worked for the province’s interests or for the people’s welfare.
