No early polls, says PML chief

ISLAMABAD, Oct 21: Pakistan Muslim League president Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain has ruled out the possibility of any snap elections in the country. Talking to journalists after a seminar organised by the Inter-Faith Peace Committee at the PML House here on Saturday to celebrate the 100 years of the PML, Mr Hussain claimed that exiled political leaders would not return to the country even if invited because they had no future in the country’s politics.

He, however, said there was a need to hold talks with political parties to create conducive political environment. He said details of his meeting with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz would be made public soon.

PML secretary-general Syed Mushahid Hussain said the NFC award should not be distributed on the basis of population alone.—Online
