PAF aircraft crashes; pilot killed

JHANG, Oct 19: A Mairaj-III aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force crashed in the Thal firing range, about 48 kilometres west of Jhang district, on Thursday noon. The pilot, Wing Commander Akram Ranjha, expired in the crash.

Reports reaching here revealed that the aircraft took off from the Mushaf air base, Sargodha, at 12noon. As it aircraft reached the Thal firing range near Machiwaal, it crashed.

Wing Commander Ranjha, the only man in the ill-fated aircraft, lost his life.
