Former Larkana naib nazim accused of corruption

By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, Oct 19: Leader of the Khushhal Pakistan Panel in the district council, Babu Serwar Siyal, has alleged that former district naib nazim Munwar Abro was involved in financial irregularities.

Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, he said that according to the audit report issued by the regional director audit, Mr Abro, had embezzled an amount of Rs26,944,368. Mr Siyal said that the former naib nazim had tampered with official record and sent money to his mentors.

He said that the auditor’s report of October 16 had asked officers concerned to recover what he called misappropriated funds from Munwar Abro and deposit it in the government treasury.

Mr Siyal accused the naib nazim of spending money on holding open kutcharies, distributing hand pumps and sewing machines in violation of the rules.
