PESHAWAR, Oct 19: A number of private schools here have formed the All Private Schools’ Executives Association after quitting the All Pakistan Private Schools’ Management Association.

Peshawar district chief of the new association Aqeel Razzaq said at a press conference here on Thursday that he and his colleagues had decided to establish a separate organisation of the owners of private schools to protect their rights because affairs of the all Pakistan association were not being run properly.

He said the private schools were 11 taxes while the Peshawar Town-II council had imposed new taxes on them.

“Government is creating problems for us by imposing various taxes. A new tax, Trade Licence Fee, has been imposed on us now but we will not pay any charges except income tax,” he said.

He alleged that the leadership of the All Pakistan Private Schools’ Management Association only worked for its personal interests and it had failed to solve problems of the owners.

He said a campaign would be launched after Eid to expand the organisation to all the districts of the province.

He said the association had been organised at Peshawar district level.

Charsadda district APSEA president Mohammad Suhail said institutions of Mardan and Nowshera districts would soon join the association.
