KARACHI, Oct 19: Three ships carrying containers and chemicals are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Johar, Hyundai Advance and YM Energy, to unload and load containers, Agios Nectarios-1, to offload fertiliser, and Al-Jaber -18, to offload and load general cargo, were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Iran Sattari, APL Dalian and Endurance, while Al-Jaber-18, Zhen Hua-18, Hyundai Advance, YM Energy, Johar, China Trader and Conti Esperance are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 94,775 tons comprising 6,599 tons of export cargo and 88,176 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Chemstar Hero, with chemicals, Maersk Arkansas, and Eric G. Gibson, with containers.
