Troops leave for Sudan peace mission

RAWALPINDI, Oct 18: A contingent of the Pakistan Army left for Sudan on Wednesday to serve under the aegis of United Nations peace keeping mission. Brigadier Mohammad Arshad and Commander Corps Logistics bid them farewell at the Islamabad International Air Port.

Talking to the departing troops Brig Mohammad Arshad advised them to maintain the highest standard of professional excellence set by the Pakistani troops in the past.

He said Pakistani troops due to their professional excellence and humanitarian assistance are considered a guarantee for peace in peace keeping missions around the world. Pakistani troops are rendering peacekeeping duties in Sudan for more than a year.
