KARACHI, Oct 18: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal on Wednesday termed the removal of 1900 PTCL workers as a cruel step and contrary to claims of the government regarding elimination of poverty and joblessness from the country.
In a statement, MMA MNAs Mohammad Hussain Mehnati, Abdul Sattar Afghani and Mohammad Laeeq Khan said the president and the prime minister, on the one hand, were making announcements and, on the other, workers were being retrenched.
