KARACHI, Oct 17: Five ships, carrying DAP fertiliser, containers and general cargo, are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active were nine ships were berthed. They are: Wan Hai-301, CMA CGM Simba, Iran Sattari, to unload and load containers, Navision Laker, to unload fertiliser, Zhen Hua, to unload and load general cargo, Endurance, Kvarven and Samho Haron, with oil tankers, and Dream Beauty, to unload cars.

Nine ships, Ever Guide, China Star, CMA CGM Simba, Al-Marwah, Southern Atlas, Han Zhong Men, Swat, Marylisa-5 and BBC Trindad, departed on Tuesday, while Kvarven, Samho Heron, Wan Hai-301, Dream Beauty, Iran Sattari and Endurance are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total tonnage of 64,427 tons comprising 8,943 tons of export cargo and 55,484 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following vessels are due on Wednesday: Hyundai Advance, Y.M. Energy and Conti Esperance, with containers, and Thor Hawk, to load general cargo.
