MMA asks ANP to stop propaganda

Published October 16, 2006

PESHAWAR, Oct 15: MMA provincial general secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Khan on Sunday asked ANP to stop its propaganda against the MMA-led provincial government over the arbitrary commission’s decision on net hydel profit. Otherwise, it warned the ANP would be exposed on the promises made with the people on provincial rights.

In a press statement issued here, he said the decision on net hydel profit by the arbitration commission had annoyed the ANP which did nothing for the rights of the people of the NWFP over the past 57 years, while the MMA achived a lot only in four years.

He said the ANP had always grabbed power by exploiting provincial rights, but did nothing except protecting its own interests. He said after the resolution of the issue of net hydel profit, the MMA would try to rename the NWFP according to wishes of people of the province.
