ATTOCK, Oct 15: People’s Liberation Army (Air Force) Commander Gen Qaio Qingchen visited PAF Base Minhas and the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra here on Sunday.

On his arrival, Gen Qingchen was received by PAC Board Chairman Air Marshal Khalid Chaudhry and Base Commander Air Commodore Mohammad Jamshed Khan.

The dignitary was given a briefing about the working of the base. Later, he was also briefed on the working of PAC Kamra. The delegation visited different areas of the PAC factories.

Members of the delegation showed keen interest in the areas of mutual cooperation, especially in the field of overhaul and upgradation of Chinese weapon systems. At each factory, the respective managing director explained the different processes involved in the rebuilding of life exhausted aircraft.

The guests also saw the manufacturing of aircraft at Aircraft Manufacturing Factory, Kamra.

The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex is the only defence aviation manufacturing and overhauling concern of its kind in Pakistan.

Apart from serving as a backbone for Pakistan Air Force, improving its operational readiness and saving millions of dollars annually through indigenisation, the PAC has been expanding its customer base in the international aviation market ever since its inception.
