Relief goods sent to Lebanon


ISLAMABAD, Oct 15: On the directives of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, a consignment of medicines was dispatched in a C-130 aircraft to Lebanon on Sunday.

Six planeloads of relief goods containing tents, blankets, food items and medicines had been dispatched to Lebanon from July to September this year.

The consignment of medicines was jointly seen off by the Ambassador of Lebanon and Khalid Khan Toru, Director General (Emergency Relief Cell), Cabinet Division at the PAF Base in Chaklala Rawalpindi, said a press release.

The government and the people of Pakistan have a keen desire to alleviate the suffering caused to the people of Lebanon resulting from the war.—APP
