KHAIRPUR, Oct 15: Two women of the Jogi community, kidnapped in retaliation after a girl of the Shar community had eloped with a Jogi boy, were released on Saturday night.

The women, Alam Khatoon and Munawar Khatoon, were kidnapped in Pir Kalo village of the Thari Mirwah taluka on Thursday night.

District Nazim Pir Niaz Hussain Shah and Thari Mirwah Taluka Nazim Attaullah Phul met elders of the Shar community in Rasoolpur.

The nazim said that the two women were handed over to him on a condition that the girl of their community, Seema Shar, what they said was kidnapped by a Jogi boy would also be released.

The nazim asked the Shar community for a two days time for return of the girl.

Later, Pir Niaz met elders of the Jogi community in Khariri town and handed over the two women to Thari Mirwah UC nazim Roshan Jogi and Liaquat Jogi.
