KARACHI, Oct 14: Three ships carrying containers, iron ore and edible oil arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release here on Saturday.

Berth occupancy remained moderate at the port on Friday where four ships, Sargodha, Advantage, Martania and DD Master were occupying berths to load, offload rice, wheat, diesel oil and sugar.

A cargo volume of 23,692 tons comprising 20,958 tons imports cargo and 2,734 tons export was handled during the last 24 hours.

Martinia sailed out to sea on Saturday morning.

Four ships -- MSC Eleonora, Al-Maqwa, Pacific Jade and Capt George-L -- are expected to take berths on Saturday.

Three ships, ACX Levender, Bergen and Walmea, with containers, chemicals and coal are due to arrive on Saturday, while KOU Chang, Sinar Bontang, MSC Socotra, Arctic and Kvarven, with containers, LPG and chemicals are due to arrive on Sunday.
