KARACHI, Oct 14: Four ships carrying containers and to load naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Maersk Arakansas, Oel Aishwarya, to unload and load containers, Dareen, to unload and general cargo, Sunrise Rosa, Bryggen, oil tankers and Marylisa-5, to offload coal.

Four ships, Calvin P Titus, Tower Bridge, Bow de Silver, and Pacific Jade, departed on Saturday, while Dareen, Sunrise Rosa, Pacific Primate, and Oel Aishwarya, are due to sail out on Sunday.

Owing to lesser handling of liquid cargo, the total tonnage fell to 49,001 tons comprising 17,835 tons of export cargo and 31,166 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Endurance, to load naphtha, Ever Guide, and China Star with containers.

The following ships are due on Monday: Kvarven, with chemicals, Johar, with crude oil, Wan Hai-301, with containers and Navision Laker, with 27,021 tons of DAP fertiliser.
