PESHAWAR, Oct 13: NWFP Governor Lt-Gen (retd) Ali Muhammad Jan Aurakzai has said that raising the standard of education in Fata is his topmost priority.

“Students in the tribal region will get quality education for which a plann is being prepared,” said the governor while talking to a group of Fata students, who achieved distinction in Matriculation and Secondary examinations, here on Friday.

Mr Aurakzai said that talented and hardworking students would be given due encouragement.

He said that Fata students could not exhibit their talent due to lack of opportunities. He said steps were being taken to help them display their talent. He urged the tribal youth to work hard for achieving their goals.

On the occasion, the governor awarded cash prizes and gifts to students including Gohar Zaman Afridi and Akmal Hussain Bangash from Cadet College Razmak, Ajmal Shah from Government High School Khar, Akhtar Gul from Bajaur Public School Khar and Abdul Wahab from Government
