PESHAWAR, Oct 13: Doctors of the Army Medical Corps provided treatment to more than 600 patients in a free medical camp at Gharlamai Fort in North Waziristan Agency, says an ISPR press release.

The medical camp, the press release said, was part of army efforts to provide healthcare facilities to non-privileged people of tribal areas at their doorstep.

Apart from a large number of men and women, children also turned out at the camps where medicines were given to the patients free of cost.

Provision of medical facilities to the tribesmen has been an army priority since it entered hitherto inaccessible tribal areas in 2,001.

For this purpose, establishment of free medical and eye camps has been a regular feature. Around 1,483,474 patients are said to have been provided treatment in the medical camps.—APP
