KARACHI: Harassment of daily wagers condemned

KARACHI, Oct 13: The PTCL Telecom Foundation Daily Wages Action Committee on Friday strongly condemned alleged harassment of daily-wage employees by the PTCL administration.

Addressing an emergency meeting held at CTO Compound, President Action Committee Shahjehan Shaikh alleged that the PTCL administration suppressed the scheduled protest demonstration of daily wagers before the GM office and sent hired bandits to intimidate the protestors and hurled threats of dire consequences to them. He strongly condemned this negative behaviour of the PTCL management.

He demanded of the PTCL administration to stop threatening daily wage employees otherwise they would commit self-immolation before media and PTCL management would be responsible for it.

Action Committee General Secretary Irshan Ali, Rizwan Muhammad Khan and other office-bearers were also present.—PPI
