QUETTA Oct 12: A division bench of the Balochistan High Court on Thursday issued notice to the provincial chief secretary on a contempt of court petition and directed him to appear before court on October 30.

The bench comprising of Chief Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani was hearing a contempt petition of Fateh Khan Khajak.

The petitioner submitted that the court, on July 25, had ordered that Lehri tehsil should be excluded from Sibi district but the provincial government failed to act on the court orders.

He pleaded that he met the chief secretary many times and requested him to implement the court decision but in vain.

Further hearing of the case would be held on October 30.
