Karachi United triumph

KARACHI, Oct 11: A second half Daniyal Alvi match-winner helped Karachi United carve a 1-0 win over Baloch Union at KASB soccer league at CDGK Stadium on Tuesday.

After a barren first session, Daniyal’s winner came in the 64th minute which gave United a narrow victory.

In another match at the same venue, Asghar Baloch’s late strike gave Shahzad Mohammadan a 2-1 triumph against Hyderi Baloch.Shah Nawaz of Shahzad Mohammadan was on target in the 22nd minute before Mohammad Shareef of Hyderi Baloch put the game on an even keel with a 30 metre free kick in the 41st minute. Asghar found the cage in the 70th minute to give his side a close win.

Shakeel Abdullah of Hyderi Baloch and Shahzad Mohammadan’s Sohail Baloch will be missing the next match after receiving their second yellow cards.

Arshad Imam’s five-goal onslaught propelled Malir National to a convincing 5-0 victory over Baloch Union.

The winners opened their account with a sixth-minute goal by Arshad who completed his treble with 19th and 27th minute strikes.

Yet there was more punishment for the Union as Arshad slotted home for his fourth in the 58th minute and completed the tally in the 62nd minute.
