KARACHI, Oct 11: Five ships carrying chemicals, containers and coal are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, APL Jabel Ali, to unload and load containers, Pacific Jade, to offload palm oil and Al-Mukhtrah, to offload furnace oil were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed included Ji Qing Men, Chi Feng Kuo and Da Ping Hai, while APL Jabel Ali, Iran Hesari, Pacifice Sund-2, Corin Thaikos, and Al-Mukhtrah are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 80,755 tons comprising 18,523 tons of export cargo and 62,232 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Bow de Silver, Lauren, with chemicals, PAC Antlia, Calvin Titue, with containers, and Marylisa-5, with coal.
