ISLAMABAD, Oct 10: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized heroin and charas and arrested the alleged carriers in separate attempts, an ANF spokesman said here on Tuesday.

He said ANF had received a tip-off about an attempt to smuggle narcotics from the NWFP to Punjab.

A raiding party was organised which conducted a raid near a private bus company’s terminal in Rawalpindi and seized 5kg heroin concealed in the travelling bags of two passengers.

The accused were identified as Mohammad Amin, a resident of Gujranwala district, and Syed Talib Shah, a resident of Lahore.

In the second operation, ANF personnel, intercepted a car coming from Peshawar at Burhan Interchange. During search, they seized 100kg charas from the fake cavities of the vehicle.—Staff Reporter
