HYDERABAD, Oct 10: The revenue, Mr Abdul Sattar Jatto, on Tuesday announced that the district government had set up 12 complaint centres to register complaints regarding prices of essential commodities in the 12 talukas of the district.

Mohammad Hakim, Babu Ilyas, Abdul Rauf Jaffri and Haji Ashraf Munna who were on the district’s price control committee are supervising the centres set up at Tower Market, Fakir-Jo-Pir, Lajpat Road, Phuleli Paretabad, Hyderabad City, Latifabad No.7, 10, 11 and 12, Qasimabad, Nasim Nagar, main bazaar of Qasimabad, Tando Jam and main bazaar of Hyderabad Rural.

He said that the DDOs and mukhtiarkars with the powers of special judicial magistrates had been asked to be present at the centres daily from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm and take strict legal action on complaints about overcharging.

He informed that the police security would be provided to the centres to help the special judicial magistrates and their staffers.

Meanwhile, the DDOs of revenue and mukhtiarkars of Hyderabad, during surprise visits to different markets, booked 43 shopkeepers and imposed Rs15,900 on them under Price Control Act.

They also challaned 21 persons and fined them Rs7,100 for violating EhtIram-e-Ramazan Ordinance.

RESULT: The controller of examinations of the University of Sindh announced on Tuesday the result of LL.B Part-III annual examination of 2005 and said 11 candidates had passed with first class while 405 candidates got through with second.
