KARACHI, Oct 10: The DO education, secondary and higher secondary (female), of the city government on Tuesday asked the heads of government girls secondary and higher secondary schools to provide information and necessary documents for the distribution of scholarship among students of class IX, who secured 80 per cent and above marks.

The scholarship forms may be obtained by the heads concerned from the Government Girls Comprehensive Higher Secondary School, Block N, North Nazimabad and submitted accordingly at the earliest.

The deputy district officer (education) secondary and higher secondary (male), Ghulam Mustafa A. Abbasi, has been nominated as the coordinator between this office and the Nazrea Pakistan Foundation, Sindh Committee and Ms Haseen Fatima, Junior School, Teacher, Government Girls Comprehensive Higher Secondary School, North Nazimabad, Karachi could be contacted on mobile phone number 0300-7084660 and 0300-2597752 respectively.

The evaluation reports of the performance of the students, receiving scholarships and general performance of all students in class X will be supplied to the schools in collaboration with Nazrea Pakistan Foundation, Sindh Committee to ascertain that the quality is being maintained.

The information regarding teachers, receiving appreciation certificates be supplied in quadruplicate, mentioning their full name, father's name, qualifications, designation, place of posting, phone number, subject taught to the class IX, number of students appeared in class IX in the said subject and number of students secured 80 per cent or above marks in class IX in the said subjects.

The information has also been sought regarding their head teachers with full name, father's name, designation with basic pay scale, period of posting, number of students secured 80 per cent and above marks in IX class, in quadruplicate, urgently.

It was further directed that information should also be provided if no student was able to secure 80 per cent or above marks in a school and furnish enrolment of class X, by sex in each school in quadruplicate, within a week for supply of evaluation report cards to the schools.

The circular said the scholarships were to be distributed in the first week of November 2006, this year, therefore, it was important that the instructions may be circulated among all secondary and higher secondary schools and the required information be furnished timely.—PPI
