PESHAWAR, Oct 9: Activists of the Pakhtun Students Federation of the NWFP Agricultural University held a demonstration outside the press club here on Monday, demanding reinstatement of rusticated students.
They criticised the university administration for expelling 11 students without an inquiry.
They alleged that the university administration had lodged a false case against the students and sent them to jail.
They claimed that the students were involved in the case when they demanded an inquiry into alleged corruption of the vice-chancellor and construction of a new hostel.
They appealed to the NWFP governor to order an impartial inquiry into the matter.
They said they would extend their protest to the entire province if the students were not reinstated.—Correspondent
