Jihad only means to liberate Kashmir: Hizb

By Our Correspondent

TIMERGARAH (Lower Dir), Oct 8: Leaders of the Hizbul Mujahideen have said that jihad is the only means to liberate Kashmir from Indian occupation.

Addressing a ‘Jihad Paigham’ conference here on Saturday, the supreme commander of the organisation criticised the policies of Gen Pervez Musharraf and said that due to his Kashmir policy the cause of Kashmir had received a setback.

The conference was addressed by senior provincial minister Sirajul Haq, the vice-amir of Hizbul Mujahideen, Abdul Wasai, provincial president Abdul Malik, MPA Muzzafar Said and Amir Jamaat-i-Islami, Dir, Muohammad Gulab.

The speakers urged the people to come forward and fully support the Kashmir liberation movement. They said that the liberation movement was in its final stages and a little push would force the Indian occupational forces to leave the area.

They accused the government of betraying the Kashmiri freedom fighters. They said that the Indians would never resolve the issue through negotiations and the only solution to the problem was to support the liberation movement.

BOYS ELECTROCUTED: Two boys were electrocuted while fishing in the Panjkora river in Sahibabad on Saturday afternoon.

They were using electric rods for catching fish and erroneously activated the rods while they were still in the water.

The deceased were identified as Ikramul Haq, 15, and Sanaullah, 13. The boys, both students of a local school, were fishing at Sahibabad in the jurisdiction of Wari police station.
