CHITRAL, Oct 8: Ten people were killed and four others were injured when a coach plunged into a ravine here on Saturday. The ill-fated coach was going from Chitral town to the Bamburate valley when it fell into the ravine, killing 10 passengers on the spot.

Six of the dead were identified as Javid Khan, Ghulam Nabi, Sher Bano, Hassan Basri, Farooq Khan, Shaheen, Merrak, a Kalash boy, and Khan Jan, an Afghan refugee, while names of two could could not be ascertained.

Three of the injured were stated to be in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses said that the coach driver lost control over the vehicle due to high speed at a sharp turn.—Correspondent
