KARACHI, Oct 6: Karachi Urban batsmen Zeeshan Jamil and Shan Masood scored tons to plunder Quetta bowlers on the second day of their three-day PCB Inter-Region Under-19 Cricket final round match at PCB Regional Academy Ground on Friday.
After being dismissed for 189 in their first outing, Urban finished the day at 300 for three wickets in their second innings, enjoying an overall lead of 347 runs.
Shan and Zeeshan shared a mammoth 247 runs second wicket stand to put their team in a winning position.
Left handed opener Shan finished unbeaten on 129 and his 152 ball knock in 243 minutes was spiced with 16 hits to the boundary while Zeeshan struck 19 boundaries and a six in his 133 off 148 balls in 243 minutes.
Earlier, Quetta resuming their first innings at overnight score of 96 for four were bowled out for 142 with paceman Zaheer Abbas snapping-up five wickets for 55 runs in 16.4 overs. Leg-spinner Shahzeb Khan got three for 42.
Amil Khan emerged as the top-scorer with 43 laced with three hits to the ropes and one over it.
