Afzal’s case: Pakistan offers no comments


ISLAMABAD, Oct 5: Pakistan Foreign Office has so far remained silent on the question regarding the death sentence to Kashmiri citizen Mohammad Afzal Guru by an Indian court.

It said on Thursday: “We are watching the situation closely. We understand that there is a clemency appeal by the family of Mohammad Afzal. We, therefore, would not like to comment on this matter at this stage,” was Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam’s response when asked to comment on it.—Q.A.
