LAHORE, Oct 5: Pakistan’s newly appointed captain Mohammad Yousuf has stressed that the team is united and Younis Khan's decision of stepping down from the captaincy will not dampen the spirits of the team in any way.

Yousuf, who was made captain after Younis quit the job on Thursday, said that there were no differences among the players and they were united to give their best in the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

He pointed out that all international teams participating in the Champions Trophy were tough and he would not take any one as ‘easy opponent’.

The master batsman, ranked among top three batsman in world cricket, added that he was expecting competitive cricket in group matches because South Africa and New Zealand were tough rivals.

He, however, expressed confidence in his team and said it was a well balanced side that could upset the best.
