412 arrested in a week

KOHAT, Oct 4: The police have claimed to have arrested 412 criminals, 17 of them fugitives, during a week-long drive against anti-social elements, illegal weapons and drugs.

During raids in different areas, 25 Kalashnikovs, four kalakovs, 12 rifles, 11 shot guns, 92 pistols, a sten gun, a hand grenade, 4,050 cartridges, 17 chargers, eight fuses, 158kg of hashish, 190 obscene CDs, a computer and 36 bottles of liquor were seized, a press release said. Four gamblers were also arrested and Rs10,710 stake money seized, it said.
