KARACHI, Oct 2: Six ships carrying palm oil, containers and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a dozen ships were berthed during the last two days. They are: Kama Bhum, Cape Santiago, Thor Captain, Wan Hai-315, Amasis, and Dong He, to unload and load containers, Sinar Kudus, Prima Vera, and Zhe Hai 128, to offload and load general cargo.

They were followed by Da Peng Hai, to unload DAP fertiliser, Golden Fae East, to offload palm oil and Hellas Endurance, to load naphtha.

Sailing was also active as 10 ships departed. They are: Maersk Arkansas, Cape Santiago, Sinar Kudus, Genios Star-3, Dong Shun Ocean, Saegodha, Kama Bhum, Oel Aishwarya, Corin Thaikos and Golden Far East.

Six others, including Amasis, Zhe Hai-128, Wan Hai-315 Getaldic, Dong He and Prima Veera are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.167m tons comprising 45,317 tons of export cargo and 0.121m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Pacific Ace and Olymics-1 with 14,000 and 9,200 tons of palm oil, respectively, Oriental Bouquet, to load 6,000 tons of ethanol, Iran Tabatabaei and APL Osaka, with containers.
