SRINAGAR, Oct 1: Clashes in held Kashmir erupted again on Sunday in protests calling for clemency for a Kashmiri Muslim sentenced to death for his role in a 2001 attack on parliament, police said.
Police dispersed the protesters with tear gas and batons in two neighbourhoods of Srinagar, with no injuries reported, a police spokesman said.
“We have detained six protesters while others were dispersed,” the spokesman said.
