Quetta-Chaman rail traffic suspended

QUETTA, Sept 30: Railway traffic was suspended for some time on Saturday after a blast slightly damaged a bridge linking the provincial capital and the border town of Chaman.

Police said that it was a home-made explosive device, which was armed with a timer, and was planted on the bridge No401-Q near Faqirabad.

The blast damaged some wooden slippers had damaged in the. Railway officials said that traffic on the Quetta-Chaman section was restored after replacing the damaged slippers.

So far, no one has claimed the responsibility for the blast.
