40 dacoits target govt officer’s house

FAISALABAD, Sept 28: Forty robbers targeted the house of a government officer in Chak 205 RB, Gatwala, taking away ornaments, cash and other valuables worth millions of rupees on Thursday.

Police said the robbers barged into the house of Javed Ahmad Tatla and locked the family members in a room. They collected the valuables and fled. No case was registered till filing of this report.

SHOT DEAD: Two motorcyclists shot dead a trader and a rickshaw driver in the limits of Rail Bazaar police on Thursday.

It is learnt that Khalid was ambushed by unidentified motorcyclists while rickshaw driver Liaquat was killed when he tried to chase the attackers.

Motive behind the incident could not be ascertained.
