Traders demand compensation

QUETTA, Sept 28: Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf has assured a traders’ association that the government will fully cooperate to compensate people whose property was damaged in riots which occurred after the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti.

President of the Anjuman-i-Tajiran Balochistan Abdur Rahim Kakar on Thursday called on the chief minister and briefed him on losses suffered by traders during recent protests and requested him to compensate the victims.

The chief minister urged the traders’ associations to prepare a detailed report about the losses, enabling him to pursue the matter.—Correspondent
