Paid coaches for juniors

By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Sept 27: Pakistan Hockey Federation secretary Akhtar-ul-Islam said on Wednesday that the proposal of having paid coaches at junior level was under consideration and would be implemented as soon as the federation strengthens its financial position.

He expressed hope the proposal would create interest for the coaches working at the junior levels.

Akhtar made it clear there was no such suggestion in the pipeline for the national team.

He said the PHF would not pay Shahnaz Sheikh as he was getting salary from PIA.
